Maths Learning in Action!
Today, the children focused on their individual learning by completing maths worksheets tailored to their year groups. Everyone had the opportunity to work through questions suited to their learning level, practise their maths skills and build their confidence along the way.
It was lovely to see the children concentrating on their work, tackling challenges and doing their best. Every little step counts, and we are proud of their efforts as they continue to learn, grow and develop their skills.

Birthday Cards, Friendship and Yummy Snacks!
We started our morning with a lovely creative activity as the children made birthday cards for their class friend! They got busy decorating their cards and adding their own personal touches to make them extra special.
After getting creative, the children enjoyed sharing a selection of fruits and tasty snacks provided by the tuition. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to enjoy some treats together, spend time with their friends and make the most of a fun-filled morning!

Lunch, Games and Lots of Fun!
Today was all about enjoying good food, having fun and spending time together! The children sat down to enjoy their lunch before getting stuck into a variety of games. From friendly competition to lots of laughs, everyone had the chance to join in, have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
It was lovely to see the children playing together, sharing and making the most of their time with friends. A perfect mix of lunch, laughter and games!

A Colourful Start to the Day!
We kicked off our session with a fun painting activity! The children got creative with lots of bright colours, exploring their artistic sides and bringing their ideas to life on paper. From mixing colours to experimenting with different brush strokes, everyone had the chance to get involved and express themselves in their own unique way.
It was lovely to see their creativity shine as they enjoyed a relaxing start to the day, filling the room with colour, imagination and lots of artistic fun!

Bookmark Making
The children had the chance to let their imaginations run wild, choosing their favourite colours and creating their very own unique bookmarks.
From colourful designs to fun patterns, everyone had the opportunity to make something special to use the next time they picked up a book.

My Empty Suitcase Activity
The children took part in an Empty Suitcase activity, where they imagined they were going on a trip and thought about what they would pack in their suitcases.
They got creative by drawing and writing about the items they would take with them. Once they had finished, the children went around the group and presented their suitcases, sharing their choices and explaining what they would pack.
This activity encouraged creativity, imagination and communication skills, while helping the children build confidence in speaking in front of others and listening to their peers. It was lovely to see everyone sharing their ideas!

Learning and Playing Together
Today, the children had a fun session playing Hangman together, taking turns to guess letters and work out the hidden words.
Afterwards, they enjoyed a selection of games, from board games to building activities, giving everyone the chance to play and work together.
It was a great way to finish the session, with plenty of teamwork, problem solving and friendly competition.

Word Search Challenge
Today’s activity was all about word searches, with different challenges set out and ready for the children to complete.
The children searched carefully for the hidden words, working through each puzzle and seeing how many they could find.
It was a fun way to practise spelling, concentration and attention to detail while enjoying a little challenge along the way.

Today, the children enjoyed getting creative with watercolour paints, experimenting with different colours and creating their own pictures.

The children took part in an activity all about the special people in their lives. They thought about the family, friends and loved ones who are important to them.

The children spent time enjoying a range of books and practising their reading skills at their own pace.

The Pieces of Me
Today, the children completed a fun activity called “The Pieces of Me”, where they filled in different puzzle pieces with information about themselves.
They shared things such as their favourite colour, family, friends, hobbies and other things that are important to them.
It was a lovely way for the children to express themselves, think about what makes them unique and learn more about each other.

Today, the children worked on their maths skills with a fun fruit themed addition activity. They carefully counted the different fruits and worked out the answers to each sum.

Back to Learning and Ready to Grow!
We’re back! After a well deserved summer break, it was great to welcome our students back to Outta School Learning Center for their first day.
Everyone settled in brilliantly and got straight back into learning. It was fantastic to see so much focus, concentration and enthusiasm around the classroom.
We’re looking forward to another term filled with learning, new challenges and plenty of opportunities for our students to grow and achieve!

Teamwork in Action
The children took on the challenge of completing a 500 piece puzzle together, sorting through the pieces and figuring out where each one belonged.
Working together encouraged them to communicate, share ideas and help one another while developing their patience and problem solving skills.

Planting the Seeds of Knowledge
Today, our children enjoyed a fun and interactive session all about plants! They discovered the different parts of a plant, what each part does, and why plants are so important for people, animals, and the environment. It was wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they asked questions and shared what they already knew.
Through hands on activities and discussions, the children explored how plants grow and what they need to stay healthy, including sunlight, water, air, and nutrients. They also learned about the life cycle of a plant and why looking after nature is so important.
At Outta School Learning Center, we love creating engaging activities that encourage children to learn through exploration and play. Today’s session was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop new knowledge, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.

Our Journey to Cursive Handwriting:
Clear, confident handwriting is a cornerstone of effective communication, and watching our pupils refine their skills has been an absolute delight. Over the past few weeks, the children have taken remarkable strides in improving their letter formation and presentation.
Developing neat handwriting is a gradual process that requires patience, dexterity, and steady focus. Starting with accurate letter placement and consistent spacing, the children have worked hard to build control.
The most exciting milestone in this journey has been the transition to cursive handwriting. We are so proud of the dedication, care, and perseverance every child has shown on their way to becoming fluent, confident writers. Keep up the fantastic effort!

Splatters of Colour: Exploring Creativity in Art Class
There is nothing quite like the energy in our arts and crafts class when the paint pots come out! Recently, our students have been diving into a world of colour, texture, and pure imagination.
Art gives children a fantastic space to express themselves freely. From bold brushstrokes to intricate crafts, it was inspiring to watch each student bring their unique ideas to life. Beyond the vibrant artwork, these hands-on sessions help build fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and creative confidence.

Demonstrating Determination:
We would like to share a well-deserved highlight celebrating Ayaan’s outstanding work during a recent letter formation task.
Developing handwriting and pencil control requires considerable patience and effort, and Ayaan demonstrated exceptional focus throughout the entire activity. From the very beginning, he approached the task with impressive concentration, taking great care with every stroke, curve, and line.
What stood out most was Ayaan's sheer determination. When faced with more challenging letter shapes, he remained calm, focused, and persistent, working through the exercise with remarkable diligence. Exhibiting this level of commitment and resilience at such a young stage is a wonderful achievement.

Spot-On Focus: Well Done, Hamza!
A massive round of applause is in order for Hamza today! Watching him power through his recent assessment was nothing short of inspiring.
From the moment he sat down, his concentration was absolute. Assessments can so easily feel overwhelming or stressful, but Hamza tackled every single question with brilliant focus, calm determination, and real drive. He stayed completely locked in from start to finish, refusing to get distracted and giving it his absolute all.
That kind of dedication and hard work always pays off. Fantastic job, Hamza—you’ve done yourself properly proud today!

Lego, Laughs, and Lego Castles
What a brilliant afternoon! Zara has been an absolute superstar today. We decided to tackle a Lego puzzle castle together, and I honestly cannot remember the last time I had so much fun.
At first, sorting through that giant sea of tiny, colourful bricks felt a little daunting. However, Zara’s endless patience and clever problem-solving made the whole process a total breeze. Piece by piece, tower by tower, watching our grand masterpiece take shape was proper satisfying.
There is nothing quite like great teamwork, endless laughs, and a good cup of tea. Cheers to Zara for being top-tier company!
